Springfield, VA (PRWEB)
September 17, 2007 -- Although the old adage "suffering is universal"
certainly rings true, Donna Kendall's premiere book, Sailing on an
Ocean of Tears (ISBN 9781591460879, Crystal Dreams Publishing)
reveals that the universal bonds of faith, hope and love are much
stronger than any hardships life can bestow.
Sailing on an Ocean of Tears tells the heartwarming story of three
diverse women, whose paths become intimately intertwined one rainy
evening, when Isabella, a vibrant Italian immigrant in New York City,
stumbles upon an elderly American homeless woman, named Ruth, seeking
shelter from the storm. The two women soon become unlikely friends and
in the course of their rapport they discover a kinship to each other
and to a mutual acquaintance named Bridget, a caring mother from
Ireland.
Isabella, Ruth and Bridget have all coped with substantial pitfalls
over the years, and as their friendship grows, they share their
tribulations and life dreams with one another. Isabella's family
business is struggling and her deep compassion for others in need is
leading her away from her own chances for happiness. Ruth was born into
a life of poverty and alcoholism, and despite her attempts to overcome
her dysfunctional childhood she discovers that even well intended
decisions can lead down the wrong path. Bridget is desperate to find
opportunity and love in a new place, but is forced to decide between
her childhood love and her own children.
Through the deep bonds built by friendship, Isabella, Ruth and
Bridget rediscover self-confidence in and hope for their futures. Sailing on an Ocean of Tears speaks to the power of faith--believing
that something good is waiting at the end of a long and hard journey.
Together, Isabella, Ruth and Bridget are able to finally understand
what their own hearts have long desired and realize that they each need
to make life-changing decisions. The uplifting climax of Sailing on an
Ocean of Tears proves that friendship, fate and love truly do conquer
all, as each woman discovers a personal truth that finally allows her
to achieve her destiny and the joys of living her life long dream.
